What legacy do you want to leave? How do you want to be remembered?
A dear college professor who became a mentor and friend to me recently passed. She was known for her tenacity and unrelenting generosity to the world. We met when we were both doing volunteer work for the HIV/AIDS crisis in Kenya. What I remember the most about her is that she never stopped fighting and working for her passions.
Another person who never stopped fighting for their passions is a man we celebrate every year on his birthday, Dr. King. He is someone else whose legacy will continue to impact and change our world.
You don’t have to be a world renowned civil rights activist to have a legacy. What impact are you making in your community or even just your household? How are you embracing each moment as an opportunity to do more and to do better?
Your legacy doesn’t start when you take your final breath… it starts right now. Live your life in a way that each moment is a legacy.
