It is that time of year. Time for family, fun and love! Too often we get caught up in the act of Christmas that we forget the “why” for Christmas.
As a Christian, Jesus’ birth was always my “why” for Christmas (even though technically he was probably born in spring). The spiritual focus on sacrifice, and salvation brings joy and purpose to this season. Maintaining that focus after Christmas is the challenge.
I encourage you as the new year rolls in, hold on to this moment. Let this peace and joy carry you into 2018. Hold on to that love especially during times of stress and anxiety, remember this moment. Don’t let life allow you to forget your purpose and this moment. Peace, joy, and love! Merry Christmas!
