“…We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can’t live that way. Staring at the blank page before you. Open up the dirty window. Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find…Drench yourself in words unspoken. Live your life with arms wide open. Today is where your book begins…” ~ Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield

Christmas has come… Christmas has gone… the New Year is appproaching. Before you start freaking out about resolutions, diets, New Year’s parties, new budgets, etc. etc. etc…. I want you to stop. It’s ok to not have a plan for what’s next. In fact, it is even more ok to just let yourself recover from the hectic chaos that has been the holidays and dare I say 2017.

My 2017 has been a whirlwind of change, stress, insanity, and not enough recovery. I spent so much time wrapped up in my next plan to move forward from the stress that just happened, that I found I have forgotten to allow myself to recover from said stress. It is not only ok, but I encourage everyone to allow themselves to just recover. Recover from life, recover from everything that happened beyond your control, just recover from a world that seems confusing and daunting… “Let the sun illuminate the words (or world) that you could not find.”

Before you start planning for 2018, recover from 2017, and allow 2018 for just this moment to be unwritten.
